Job summary

Ecuhome Corporation seeks a Housing Support Worker: Tenancy to manage intake, assess eligibility and maintain tenant files. You will calculate rents, verify incomes, and ensure privacy compliance while supporting applicants and tenants.

You will also fill vacancies promptly, coordinate viewings, prepare leases, and establish repayment plans. The role requires teamwork, strong communication, and commitment to housing stability in our community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification.
• 3 years’ experience working with people who have been homeless and require tenancy support.
• Familiarity with the Residential Tenancy Act and related legislation.
• Experience with Landlord Tenant Board forms and tribunal processes preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in word processing, e-mail and spreadsheet applications.
• First Aid and Crisis Intervention certificates are assets.

Responsibilities

• Manage intake and waiting list for new tenants with a customer-service approach.
• Calculate rent and complete income verification for applicants.
• Maintain electronic files and ensure privacy compliance.
• Fill vacancies promptly and conduct unit viewings and lease signings.
• Develop repayment plans and document eviction-prevention activities.
• Record all tenancy activities and liaise with referral sources and community organizations.
