Mount Carmel Clinic is seeking a Community Outreach Worker in Winnipeg to assist individuals and families facing eviction or housing instability. You will liaise with landlords, assist with ID and income supports, and help secure rental housing while promoting tenancy stability and well-being.

Formación

Post-secondary education in a Social Services field.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in community, preferably with program's target population.
Experience providing outreach with hard to reach populations.
Proven knowledge and ability in relationship-building, critical thinking, facilitation, decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsabilidades

Arrange and support rental unit viewings, landlord interviews, and lease negotiations.
Provide tenant support including education on rights and responsibilities, home visits, and connection to local community resources.
Identify, build, and maintain ongoing relationships with local landlords.
