Western Tractor Company Inc. in Medicine Hat, Canada is seeking a Full-Time Temporary Parts Assistant to support day-to-day operations. You will assist technicians with parts inquiries, pick orders, and manage customer loading, with some light deliveries.

The role includes merchandising displays, cycle counts, stock receiving, and general admin support. It runs July–September (seasonal) at 40 hours per week, with days varying Mon–Sat based on needs and may end early if required.

Western Tractor started from the merger of 2 different John Deere Dealerships with a total of 4 stores that have had a long history as dealerships serving Southern Alberta. Our locations have been some of Canada's longest continual dealership locations in the John Deere dealer network.

Job Description

As a Full-Time Temporary Parts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at our facility. Involving assistance with parts-related tasks, your behind the scenes expertise is essential to foster the experience our customers have come to know and love about Western Tractor.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with parts inquiries, picking orders, customer loading, and some light deliveries.


• Assist with preparing and maintaining merchandising displays. Promote dealership specials and merchandising campaigns.


• Perform perpetual cycle counts for parts inventory. Order and receive parts from suppliers as required.


• Receiving and picking stock while maintaining organization of the warehouse.


• Ensure seamless communication and provide general administrative support to all departments within the dealership.


• Full-time seasonal from July to September with possibility of extension, may end sooner based on operational needs.


• 40 hours per week.


• Days of work will vary from Monday to Saturday of each week based on flexibility and operational needs.


• Required to work statutory holidays when scheduled.


• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• 1-2 years of customer service experience and a farming background are assets.


• Computer skills with demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite and windows-based applications


• Attention to detail, strong time management, ability to multitask, excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Team player, with a friendly, professional attitude and focus on providing exceptional customer service.


• A valid driver’s licence is an asset but not required.
