Sienna Senior Living in Barrie, ON is hiring a Temporary Part-time Evening Registered Practical Nurse. The role offers a competitive hourly rate ($32.24–$35.78, as per collective agreement) and is part of an existing vacancy in Wood Park Community and Retirement.

You will provide nursing care per resident plans, supervise staff, and collaborate with families to ensure dignity, comfort and quality of life for residents. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics or senior health is an asset.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit.

Responsabilités

• Provide nursing care per resident plan and RPN/LPN scope.
• Deliver excellent nursing and personal care.
• Create a welcoming environment through teamwork and communication.
• Oversee resident care and liaise with families.
• Supervise PSWs/Unregulated staff on the unit.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be a welcomed member of the Sienna Senior Living team and impact in the following ways:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who You Are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
