Job summary

Sienna Senior Living in Bradford, Ontario is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for a permanent part-time days role (30 hours). You will provide nursing care in accordance with established policy and resident plans, ensuring comfort, dignity and safety for residents in our community.

Reporting to the Director of Care, you will supervise the PSWs, assess residents, manage admissions and changes in status, and collaborate with the care team to deliver exemplary resident care.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics or senior health is an asset.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada or a valid work permit.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with policy, physician orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Ensure delivery of nursing and personal care following sound nursing practice.
• Create a welcoming and supportive environment for residents through teamwork and communication with staff.
• Oversee resident care, including regular communication with residents and families, and provide guidance to staff.
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit.
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, with ongoing assessment to residents.
