Job description

GREATER ESSEX COUNTY DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD

Position: TEMPORARY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN

The Greater Essex County District School Board invites applications from qualified individuals for a temporary position as an Information Technology Technician. Successful applicants will be expected to be available for day-to-day casual replacements and long-term assignments across various locations throughout Essex County and the City of Windsor.

Qualifications:
  1. Completion of a Computer / Information Technology program at an accredited college or university.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of work-related experience, including 1-2 years in network, software troubleshooting, and resolution specific to PC platforms. Experience with Mac platforms is an asset.
  3. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for travel throughout Essex County.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to creating a fair, inclusive, and anti-racist environment, supporting diverse communities.
Responsibilities:
  1. Installations and upgrades of hardware, software, and operating systems on desktops, servers, and peripherals.
  2. Troubleshooting and maintenance of local area networks.
  3. Administrative tasks such as updating call logs daily.
  4. Performing other related duties as assigned.
Salary:

$25.99 hourly rate.
