What You’ll Be Doing: You will be a welcomed member of the Sienna team, working collaboratively with our team members at our Markham head office supporting our hardware refresh project with the primary responsibility of helping to configure, deploy and replace desktops and laptops for our team members. This role will also help with migrating devices from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

How You’ll Succeed:

  • Coordinate with the IT team to schedule and execute the replacement of outdated desktops and laptops.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members during the transition to new devices.
  • Ensure data migration is completed efficiently and securely, with a focus on data integrity and privacy.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of all hardware and software assets.
  • Collaborate with vendors to manage the procurement and disposal of IT equipment.
  • Assist with the installation of software applications and system updates on new devices.
  • Offer training and support to team members on the use of new equipment and software.
  • Troubleshoot any issues arising during the device refresh process.
  • Provide support of incoming requests via telephone, remote support tools, web portal, email and walk ups to ensure courteous, timely and effective resolution of the user’s issues.
  • Configure new desktops and laptops to replace aging hardware for our team members and coordinate with team members to migrate data and software
  • Ensure old devices are properly disposed of
  • Keep an accurate and up-to-date inventory to track hardware's life cycle and ensure it’s being replaced according to Sienna’s life cycle.
  • Coordinate the purchasing and delivery of hardware to our sites across Canada
  • Familiarity with supporting Windows 11 and Microsoft Office Online Experience with imaging devices and migrating operating systems
  • Tracking and monitoring end-user IT-related issues to ensure timely resolution; following up and communicating frequently.
  • Installing, maintaining, managing, servicing, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, operating systems, desktop PCs, printers and laptops issues.
  • Playing a role in managing Office 365, Active Directory, System Centre Configuration Manager and other IT tools, as assigned.

Who You Are:

  • You have a degree or Diploma in a Computer Related Field from a University, College or Technical School
  • You have experience in providing remote support such as a Service Desk Environment assisting users via Phone, Email, or in person
  • You are able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and have knowledge in supporting iOS mobile devices
  • You have excellent customer service and strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Superb attention to detail, time management, and organization skills
