Job summary

Edmonton Police Service, part of the City of Edmonton, is hiring a Digital Media/Traffic Disclosure Clerk on a temporary full-time basis in Edmonton, AB. The role focuses on accurate preparation and electronic distribution of charge reports to the Crown Prosecutor’s Office, with strict confidentiality and timely processing in a high-volume workflow.

Qualifications

• 12th grade with business subjects related to word and information processing or a related certificate program.
• Minimum of two years diversified word and information processing experience.
• Alternative: 12th grade with data entry and two years diversified data entry and general office procedures.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
• Experience with media technology is an asset.
• Knowledge of Criminal Code and court procedures is an asset.
• Experience with JOIN, NicheUA, Ethos, and APIS are assets.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle high-volume workload.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute charge reports and supporting materials to Crown Prosecutor’s Office.
• Search charges, courtrooms, accused and prosecutors using secure software.
• Review and update databases; track reports and diary dates.
• Liaise with EPS, Crown Prosecutors Office, and Property Exhibit Unit for court matters.
• Safeguard confidentiality of sensitive information throughout the disclosure process.
• Meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
