Job summary

Sea to Sky School District No. 48 is seeking a Custodian for Don Ross Middle School on a temporary basis from immediately to June 30, 2027.

You will perform general cleaning, operate cleaning equipment, ensure building security, and support a safe learning environment in line with WHMIS and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 plus relevant courses/workshops.
• Knowledge of WHMIS and Worksafe BC safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning of schools as assigned, including movement of furniture and lighting.
• Operation of motorized cleaning equipment and floor coatings application.
• Attention to building security and safety protocols.

Job description

The following temporary position is open for applications:

CUSTODIAN

Location: District - South

Don Ross Middle School

Temporary: Immediatelyto June 30, 2027

Hours: 4 hours per day, 10 months per year

Pay: $30.47 per hour

Duties & Responsibilities

General cleaning of schools as assigned by the General Manager of Operations, which includes lifting of miscellaneous furniture, changing lights, operation of motorized cleaning equipment, knowledge of chemicals and application of floor coatings and attention to building security.

Qualifications

Completion of Grade 10 plus relevant courses/workshops and up to and including three (3) months related experience or an equivalent combination of related training and experience. Relevant courses/workshops would be the Building Service Worker course. Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) and Worksafe BC safety regulations.
