Job summary

New Horizon Co-op in Grande Prairie, Alberta is hiring a part-time Delivery Driver for our Downtown Food Store. You will receive and verify customer orders, load products, plan routes, and deliver to customers in a friendly, professional manner.

Responsibilities include driving a delivery vehicle safely, recording pickups, mileage, and fuel costs, and performing other duties as assigned. A flexible schedule is required to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid class 5 AB driver's license and a clean abstract.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective planning, organization and time management skills.
• Heavy lifting is required, up to 50lbs.
• Availability to work on a very flexible schedule.

• Safely load products into the delivery van, organizing items to allow for smooth and accurate drop-offs.
• Determine the most efficient delivery route each day, considering customer locations, time windows, and road conditions.
• Deliver products directly to customers in a timely and professional manner, providing excellent service and building positive relationships.
• Drive the delivery vehicle responsibly, following all traffic laws and safety procedures.
• Record information on pick-ups and deliveries, vehicle mileage and fuel costs and report any incidents or problems encountered.
• Other duties, as assigned.
