Job summary

Cornerstone Co-op invites applicants for the position of Delivery Driver to join our team on a full-time basis at our Wainwright Home Centre. Reporting to the Yard Supervisor, you will deliver products safely and provide friendly, professional service while upholding safety standards.

You will operate delivery vehicles, complete inspections, assist with loading and unloading, report maintenance needs, and support inventory verification.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 3 driver's license with airbrakes.
• Satisfactory 5-year Commercial driver's abstract.
• Pass pre-employment substance test.
• Physically able to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Knowledge of Home Centre products.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver Home Centre products to customers and provide friendly service.
• Operate delivery vehicles safely and follow company policies and NSC regulations.
• Complete vehicle inspections and reporting to ensure safety and compliance.
• Load, secure, transport and unload merchandise with care.
• Assist customers with deliveries and safe lifting practices.
• Maintain a clean and well‑maintained delivery vehicle and report maintenance needs.
• Keep accurate driver reports and delivery bills for all locations.

Job description

Cornerstone Co-op invites applicants for the position of Delivery Driverto join our team on a full-time basis at our Wainwright Home Centre. Reporting to the Yard Supervisor.

What you’ll do:

• Safely deliver Home Centre products to customers while providing friendly, professional service.

• Operate delivery vehicles and equipment safely and responsibly, following all company policies, procedures and National Safety Code regulations.

• Completed required vehicle inspections, documentation and reporting to ensure vehicles and equipment remain safe and compliant.

• Safely load, secure, transport and unload merchandise while taking care to prevent damage to products, property and vehicles.

• Assist customers with the placement of deliveries when required, while following safe lifting and material-handling practices.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained delivery vehicle and ensure any concerns or maintenance requirements are reported promptly.

• Keep accurate driver reports and ensure bills for accounts and deliveries to all locations are accurate.

• Assist with ordering, receiving, and inventory verifications.

• Participate in team safety meetings.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

• You have a valid Class 3 driver's license with airbrakes and can provide a satisfactory 5-year Commercial driver's abstract.

• You are physically able to repeatedly lift, stack, pull and carry items up to 80 lbs.

• You have knowledge of Home Centre products.
