Job summary

Central Alberta Co-op in Red Deer is seeking a Part-time Home Centre Driver to join our team. The role offers 24–36 hours per week with benefits eligibility after 3 months, and shifts on weekdays and weekends morning to evening.

You will support customers in the yard, provide product knowledge, and ensure safe, prompt delivery. The ideal candidate holds a valid Class 3 licence with air brake endorsement, can lift up to 50 lbs, and has forklift experience or willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 3 Licence with Air Brake endorsement is required.
• Must provide an acceptable driver’s abstract upon hire.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required.
• Applicants must be over 14 years old with permit.
• Experience operating forklifts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service
• Support customers in the yard
• Maintain product knowledge and advise customers on request
• Carry out regular preventative maintenance and schedule repairs as needed
• Deliver customer products promptly and professionally
• Load and unload shipments safely and efficiently
• Operate hand and/or controlled forklifts
• Prepare orders to ensure prompt delivery
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager

Are you a motivated individual with a commitment to safety and customer service? Do you excel in fast-paced environments? Red Deer Home Centre presents the ideal opportunity for you! We’re currently looking for a Home Centre Driver to join our dynamic team.

Position: Home Centre Driver

Part-time: 24 – 36 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability: Weekdays and weekends - mornings, afternoons, and evenings

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service
• Support customers in the yard
• Maintain product knowledge and offer advice to customers upon request
• Carry out regular preventative maintenance program and schedule repairs as needed
• Deliver customer products promptly and professionally
• Load and unload shipments safely and efficiently
• Operate hand and/or controlled forklifts
