Reporting to the Manager, Technology Learning Services, the Technology Learning Specialist will be part of the team that designs and delivers comprehensive technology skills and knowledge training. Our goal is to ensure all firm members possess relevant skills, resources and information needed to operate efficiently and effectively, while providing seamless client service. In addition to facilitating ongoing orientation and upskilling programs, this role will also support the design and implementation of technology training related to Firm initiatives and special projects.
Major Responsibilities
- Facilitates learning sessions, new hire orientation and webinars to all Firm members, ensuring experiences are engaging, informative and relevant to the target audience
- Designs methodologies and learning strategies to identify and address needs aligning to firm goals and objectives
- Leverages and maintains relevant learning materials, resources, procedures and best practice documentation ensuring the effectiveness of current material such as eLearning, instructor led and reference guides
- Provides support to Firm members to solve complex problems that require more in-depth knowledge of certain applications and promotes best practices in work processes
- Supports learning projects within team and the firm
Position Requirements
Education and Experience
The position requires a minimum 3 years’ experience designing and delivering technology training, including a university degree. Adult training certification preferred. Experience in a law firm or professional services organization would be a significant asset.
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), facilitation, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Expertise in the MS Office Suite, Adobe products, and Windows OS. Knowledge of other legal applications would be an asset
- Ability to collaborate with project teams to identify business and learning needs
- Strong client service focus with ability to develop professional relationships across all levels within the Firm
- Ability to develop e-learning using Captivate, Camtasia, or similar software would be an asset
We are currently working in a hybrid work arrangement, which includes a requirement to work primarily in the office and flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
