Job Summary :

The machine setup technician's role at our Windsor Mold Tooling facility is to support the machining department by completing workpiece setup on CNC machines, handling materials using both overhead crane and forklift, performing basic machine maintenance, housekeeping, and other general labor duties.

Job Responsibilities :

• Complete and verify machine setups according to provided instructions.
• Position and secure workpieces on FCS, holding devices, machine tables, chucks, centers, or fixtures, using clamps and wrenches.
• Move completed jobs to the next scheduled task location.
• Maintain general housekeeping of the plant and equipment.
• Handle materials using overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, follow instructions accurately, and work independently when required.

Job Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Preferred experience with setup and operation of CNC machines.
• Knowledge of FCS Modular work holding systems is an advantage.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
• Ability to perform under pressure and work independently.
• Crane and forklift experience is considered an asset.
• Ability to work in both imperial and metric systems.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong technical abilities.
• High standards of professionalism and communication skills.
• Ability to follow procedures and safety policies diligently.
