Position Overview

A Technician is responsible for the setup and operation of basic/small-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment while ensuring complete customer satisfaction. This position reports to an Operations Manager, Operations Director, or Director of Event Technology.

Key Job Responsibilities

1. Equipment Operation: Ensures a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment as listed in the technical qualifications section.
2. Customer Service: Strives to exceed the expectations of internal and external customers, maintains positive relationships through effective communication, meets with guests on site to ensure needs are met, and monitors events throughout the day.
3. Technical Ability: Understands technical aspects and demonstrates basic operational ability to troubleshoot equipment and software issues, handling challenges professionally and promptly.
4. Systems Knowledge: Follows company processes, completes systems entry and paperwork accurately, interacts with staff and vendors, utilizes up-selling techniques, and works with clients on invoicing and order entries.

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Achieve Technical Level 3 Certification within 180 days.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 1 year of audiovisual experience or equivalent educational background preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for those operating company vehicles.
