Job description

Permacon, a CRH Company, is a leader and pioneer in the manufacturing of concrete masonry and landscaping products. Permacon is a division of Oldcastle APG and operates 9 plants in Ontario and Quebec.

Reporting to the Commercial Sales Director, the Technical Sales Representative - Commercial Building Solution will be mainly responsible for promotion of all commercial hardscape and masonry products to Civil Engineers, Architects, Landscape Architects, Designers, and Municipalities. An integral part of the position is building long-term relationships with civil engineers, architects, and landscape architects along with providing technical assistance, presentations, and seminars on existing and new products, and project tracking.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for identifying and prospecting for new relationships with civil engineers, architects, and landscape architects.
  • Work closely with civil engineers, architects, and landscape architects to gain more specifications and acceptance.
  • Analyze market trends and develop action plans to capitalize on shifts in the market.
  • Responsible for maintaining effective relationships with current customers that lead to increased sales and revenue.
  • Utilize CRM by tracking sales calls and planning schedule.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, preferably in a discipline related to the construction industry.
  • 3 to 5 years of technical sales representation experience, ideally in the building products industry and/or masonry products.
  • Knowledge and experience with the practices of the design and engineering community.
  • Excellent sales, communication, customer service, and presentation skills.
  • High sense of urgency with entrepreneurial qualities.
  • Ability to navigate through a Customer Relationship Management platform.
  • Result-oriented.
  • Microsoft Office knowledge.
  • English spoken and written.
