Antec Controls in Winnipeg seeks a Technical Sales Representative to blend technical expertise with relationship-building, supporting pre-sale consultations and hands-on product demonstrations for customers in HVAC and building automation.

The ideal candidate has a degree in engineering or equivalent technical sales experience, 1–3+ years in a technical sales or applications role, and strong communication skills for engineers, contractors, and facility owners alike.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical sales experience.
• 1–3+ years in technical sales or applications support in HVAC/BAS.
• Strong technical aptitude; reading specs/drawings.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Customer-service mindset and relationship-building.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to assess product needs and systems requirements.
• Deliver technical presentations and product demos that show how our solutions solve client problems.
• Champion customer sales and design visits.
• Create and maintain sales literature, presentations, and training materials for internal and external audiences.
• Lead technical and sales training for reps, keeping content current and tied to clear goals.
• Support rep spec reviews and project design, coaching reps toward doing this independently.
• Represent Antec Controls at tradeshows, conferences, and customer visits.
• Stay current on product development and market trends, feeding insights back to the team.

Technical Sales Representative – Antec Controls

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Technical Sales Representative to support our sales team and clients in a dynamic HVAC manufacturing environment that focuses on precision airflow control for critical spaces like operating rooms, isolation rooms, and laboratories.

This role combines technical expertise with relationship-building, requiring someone who is passionate about solving customer problems, building trust with reps and clients, and delivering clear, expert-level product guidance. You'll support both pre-sale consultation and hands-on presentations and training, while promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the sales team.

The Ideal Candidate For This Position Will Have

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, or equivalent technical sales experience in HVAC, building automation, or controls.
• 1–3+ years in a technical sales or applications support role, ideally in HVAC, BAS, or a related building-systems industry.
• Strong technical aptitude, able to read specs/drawings and translate complex product features into terms customers and reps understand.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable in front of engineers, contractors, and facility owners as well as internal sales teams.
• Customer-service and relationship-building mindset, with the judgment to turn a difficult situation into a positive outcome.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, able to juggle training, tradeshows, spec reviews, and client visits without dropping the ball.
