Job summary

Antec Controls is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the accounting and financial operations of a growing manufacturing business. You will report to the Controller and gain hands-on experience across all accounting functions in a fast-paced environment.

Key duties include close activities, journal entries, reconciliations, inventory accounting, and financial reporting support, with collaboration to identify process improvements and strengthen controls across the business.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Progress toward an accounting designation (CPA prep or enrollment) is considered an asset.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Manufacturing, cost accounting, or inventory experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly and year-end financial close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Support monthly financial reporting and analysis.
• Maintain accurate financial records within the ERP system.
• Assist with inventory accounting, manufacturing transactions, and reconciliations.
• Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on a timely basis.

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support the accounting and financial operations of a growing manufacturing business. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across all aspects of the accounting function in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will play an important role in the day-to-day execution of accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end close, account reconciliations, inventory accounting, and financial reporting support. In addition to maintaining accurate financial records, this individual will work closely with the Controller to identify process improvements, strengthen controls, and support operational decision-making across the business.
