Job description

Our client is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to join their team, based in the Free State (Kimberley and Bloemfontein).

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Relevant Degree in BSc Food Technology or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years' Sales experience (any industry) / FMCG experience would be preferable
  • Fluent in Afrikaans
  • Discipline and time management
  • Planning + proactive approach
  • Customer service and relationship building skills
  • Teamwork and flexibility
  • Resilience and positive attitude
  • Business acumen
  • Driver’s license and willingness to travel

Duties:

  1. Assist customers with product making, training, and problem solving
  2. Assist representatives at customer sites to gain market share
  3. Handle urgent deliveries and collections where possible
  4. Maintain up-to-date product and process knowledge, and continuously seek to learn more
  5. Manage display counters
  6. Communicate via weekly reports and email updates
  7. Create new product lines and grow the business
