Dycor Technologies is currently seeking a full-time permanent Outside Technical Sales Representative to work with our growing team in Edmonton, AB.

Reporting to the General Manager of Dycor Technologies, this position will be responsible for selling products manufactured and distributed by Dycor, such as wireless data products, data acquisition and sensor products, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), integrated panels for general purpose and hazardous locations, as well as custom-designed solutions. This role involves evaluating and bringing new business opportunities to Dycor.

Work Conditions

  • Travel within Western Canada required

Responsibilities

  • Seek new customers in Western Canada, focusing on the commercial, municipal, oil and gas sectors, among others.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with existing customers.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend cost-effective, off-the-shelf or customized solutions for data acquisition, control, sensors, and wireless communication products and services.
  • Suggest product improvements and contribute to development strategies to enhance market penetration.
  • Develop marketing strategies with KPIs to expand customer base and market share.
  • Participate in budgeting and planning activities.
  • Coordinate with Engineering to meet customer expectations.
  • Source additional products or recommend custom development to diversify Dycor’s offerings.
  • Support marketing material creation and updates, both print and online.
  • Provide technical support to customers as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years' direct sales experience in an industrial or technical environment, preferably in municipal, commercial, or oil and gas industries.
  • Availability to travel regularly within Western Canada.
  • Experience in the oil and gas sector is a strong asset.
  • Technical knowledge in wireless data communications and/or data acquisition systems is an asset.
  • Technical certification or diploma in electrical, electronic, or instrumentation technology is an asset.
  • Experience with SCADA systems, RTUs, flow computers, and data integration is an asset.
  • Knowledge of telemetry, protocols, and communication techniques is an asset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and non-technical clients.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
