Technical Sales Representative - Roofing

The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and specifying SOPREMA products and systems to clients within the assigned territory. This role also involves maintaining existing clients and developing new ones to foster growth.

The primary market segments include industrial, commercial, and institutional construction. Clients encompass owners, corporate and property management accounts, engineers, consultants, applicators/contractors, and distributors.

Challenges and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate efforts of the sales team and manage relationships with distributors and professionals.
  • Develop local market plans to ensure appropriate coverage and promote SOPREMA products effectively.
  • Organize meetings, demonstrations, or seminars, including events like “Lunch & Learns” and symposiums.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project needs and recommend suitable roofing systems.
  • Interpret and explain technical data, installation guidelines, and building codes to clients.
  • Assist in troubleshooting field issues and coordinate solutions with the technical team.
  • Participate in industry trade shows, association meetings, and events.
  • Analyze market trends and recommend adjustments in pricing and technical strategies to the Regional Manager.
  • Maintain positive relationships with industry professionals such as contractors, engineers, and owners.
  • Communicate market information and technical concerns with head office departments.
  • Perform additional functions as directed by the Sales Director.
