TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Our client, an industry leader in pipe fitting solutions, is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to join their team in Vancouver. This role focuses on profitably developing the business by promoting the company's full line of products and engineered solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating and maintaining relationships with owners, engineering firms, contractors, and supporting the local distributor network.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Promote and sell company products, concepts, and services to prospects, specifiers, buyers, distributors, and users.
• Develop sales objectives, strategies, and forecasts in collaboration with your manager.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects, and distributors.
• Implement promotion plans such as presentations, regional shows, training seminars, branch visits, and installation tours with managerial approval.
• Identify and pursue major construction, expansion, or retrofit projects.
• Develop and support territory distributors to maintain customer service levels.
• Adhere to pricing guidelines and recommend special pricing to your manager when appropriate.
• Gather comprehensive information for quotation requests, including application, specifications, pricing, and timing.
• Stay updated on product knowledge and skills, and communicate training needs to your manager.
• Collaborate with inside sales, engineering, and support staff to meet customer requirements effectively.

REQUIREMENTS :

• Experience working with EPCs and Mechanical Engineering firms is essential.
• Proven sales experience with a track record of new business development and account growth.
• Experience selling engineered solutions and getting products or solutions specified into projects.
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, P.Eng, or CET is an asset.
