Job Title : B2B IT Sales Representative – Government Contracts

Location : Alberta (Remote)

Saint Laurent Consulting is hiring on behalf of our client in the IT sector for a B2B Sales Representative role focused on government procurement and bidding. The position is based in Alberta.

We’re seeking a results-oriented sales professional with a strong track record in B2B IT sales and experience navigating the public sector RFP / RFQ process. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team delivering technology solutions to government and enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Identify and pursue B2B sales opportunities for IT products and cloud services across Alberta and BC
  • Lead the end-to-end bidding process for government contracts (municipal, provincial, federal), including RFP / RFQ response management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with procurement officers, government agencies, and strategic partners
  • Monitor government portals and procurement sites for new opportunities
  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop tailored proposals and solution briefs
  • Maintain accurate sales pipelines, reports, and forecasts using CRM tools
  • Stay informed on public sector procurement policies, IT trends, and competitor offerings

Qualifications :

  • 6+ years of B2B sales experience in the IT industry
  • Proven track record of successful government bidding or similar process (public sector RFP / RFQ experience required)
  • Familiarity with Alberta and Canadian government procurement processes
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel within Alberta as needed
  • Self-motivated, strategic thinker with strong organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Knowledge of data management, cloud services, or infrastructure solutions
  • Experience selling to municipal or provincial government bodies in Alberta
