Job summary

Enbridge is seeking an experienced Technical Manager for Renewable Interconnection & Electrical Design to lead utility-scale wind, solar, and storage projects from development through key decisions.

The role requires a PE in Canada/US, 8+ years of technical leadership, and strong knowledge of North American interconnection processes. Hybrid work and travel are expected with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering, preferably electrical engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Canada or the United States.
• 8+ years of progressive technical experience including leadership responsibilities.
• Direct experience with utility-scale electrical systems and renewable energy interconnections.
• Knowledge of North American interconnection processes with ISOs, RTOs, or utilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead interconnection activities with utilities, ISOs, and RTOs from studies through negotiations.
• Develop conceptual designs and high-voltage interconnection cost estimates.
• Conduct or review power system studies (power flow, short-circuit, arc-flash, protection coordination, grounding).
• Provide technical leadership across internal teams, consultants, and suppliers.
• Support procurement of high-voltage equipment with technical bid packages and vendor evaluations.
• Deliver practical recommendations balancing safety, reliability, cost, schedule and asset performance.
• Track milestones, identify risks, and pursue design/execution improvements.
