Job summary

Renewable Energy Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to design and review AC/DC systems for utility-scale wind, solar, and storage projects. You will develop substation and collection system models, perform load flow and short circuit analyses, and prepare construction documents for procurement.

The role supports project teams from design through construction and requires up to 15% travel. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in power generation with EPC experience, a PE/P.Eng., and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or 8 years equivalent experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE or P. Eng.) certification required.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years in power generation industry with EPC experience required.
• Ability to travel 5-15%.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Strong knowledge in power systems analysis, load flow, and short-circuit modeling.
• Experience with CAD and power system software (DIgSILENT, SKM, ETAP).

Responsibilities

• Develops and reviews preliminary and detailed design of AC/DC systems for utility-scale renewable plants.
• Performs load flow, short circuit analyses, and cable sizing.
• Supports estimating by creating preliminary designs and quantity counts.
• Prepares specifications and construction documents for procurement.
• Reviews equipment to ensure compliance with standards and project requirements.
• communicates with internal teams and clients during design and construction.
