Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Technical Manager, Renewable Interconnection & Electrical Design in Canada/US to lead utility-scale wind, solar and battery storage interconnections. This role provides technical leadership from early development to key investment decisions, working with internal teams and external partners.

You will oversee interconnection studies, high-voltage designs, and procurement support, balancing safety, reliability and cost while guiding teams through complex projects and ensuring

Qualifications

• University degree in electrical engineering and Professional Engineer (Canada/US).
• 8+ years of progressive technical experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience with utility-scale electrical interconnections and high-voltage design.

Responsibilities

• Lead interconnection activities with utilities, ISOs, and regional entities.
• Develop conceptual designs and cost estimates for HV interconnections and substations.
• Conduct or review power system studies (load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash).
• Provide technical leadership across internal teams, consultants, and suppliers.
• Support procurement of HV equipment and evaluate vendor submissions.
• Deliver practical recommendations balancing safety, reliability, cost and schedule.
• Track milestones, identify risks, and pursue design/execution improvements.
