The ASICS Canada Field Experience Performance Tech Rep is a key player in bringing the brand to life on the ground, driving brand awareness, education, and product sell-through in key markets. Based in Toronto, ON, this role is all about creating meaningful connections between the brand, retail partners, and local communities. As a true ASICS brand ambassador, the Field Experience Performance Tech Rep will lead efforts to educate, inspire, and engage through in-store visits, grassroots activations, and community events across running, tennis, court, and active lifestyle categories.
This is a field-based role built for someone who thrives on being out in the community, is energized by face-to-face interactions, and is passionate about sports, fitness, and the active consumer.
Retail & Community Engagement
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to drive sell-through and education of brand products across retail channels, including run specialty, sporting goods, lifestyle, and court-sport retailers.
- Build relationships with store staff, retail managers, and local communities through in-store visits, product knowledge sessions, seeding, demos, and staff training.
- Actively support and attend local run clubs, tennis events, and court sport activities
Events & Activations
- Represent the brand at expos, races, tournaments, and other grassroots events (both local and national)
- Execute in-field activations, product trial opportunities, and marketing promotions to connect directly with consumers and athletes.
- Partner with local ambassadors and influencers to amplify reach and engagement.
Reporting & Territory Management
- Develop weekly work plans and submit detailed monthly reports that include market insights, competitive activity, and program results.
- Monitor and report on retail conditions, consumer trends, and staff feedback.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to communicate insights and help evolve field strategies.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
- Interacts with all levels throughout organization including employees, customers, partners, outside vendors and end consumers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a key brand ambassador by independently managing relationships with retail accounts through education, merchandising, seeding, and event planning.
- Plan and execute field marketing activations , including demo events, run clubs, races, Brand/OneASICS events, and community outreach initiatives.
- Support product seeding, demo programs, swag, and event materials , including ordering, packaging, inventory management, and logistical coordination.
- Develop and deliver seasonal education presentations in collaboration with Marketing and Communications teams, while providing engaging product education and storytelling to retail staff and consumers—highlighting brand heritage, technical insights, and key selling points.
- Create content and support communication efforts , including newsletter contributions (e.g., Gear of the Week, Community Spotlights) and management of a tech rep social media presence.
- Manage account engagement by scheduling store visits, activations, and travel to drive sales, strengthen relationships, and maintain consistent brand presence.
- Perform administrative tasks such as budget tracking, expense reporting, sell-through analysis, ordering, and inventory/shipping coordination.
- Track and report on weekly activities , schedules, wins, and event outcomes to ensure visibility and alignment across the marketing team. Monitor market trends and share field insights with cross-functional teams to support strategy and product development.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Skilled in training, sales generation, customer service, and conflict resolution, with strong business communication.
- Curious, adaptable, and proactive when facing challenges or ambiguity; focused on continuous improvement.
- Tech-savvy: familiar with Office 365, digital marketing tools (Mailchimp, YouTube), and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, etc.).
- Highly proficient in English (spoken and written); bilingual (English/French) is an asset.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years’ experience in the athletic footwear industry
- Post-Secondary Education/Attendance is preferred.
- Athletic experience and passion for Running is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience interfacing with accounts on education, merchandising, event planning and activation, seeding.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.) and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, etc.)
- Experience in Dropbox, Mailchimp, YouTube, Adobe Suites including but not limited to Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Premier Pro, InDesign, or other media editing software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Valid Drivers License and access to a motor vehicle (Mileage Re-Imbursement provided)
