About The Opportunity

• Outlier is looking for talented writers with fluency in English to help train generative artificial intelligence models.

You may contribute your expertise by…

• Reading English text to rank responses produced by an AI model.
• Writing and rewriting prompts and responses, involving research and fact-checking.
• Assessing the factuality and relevance of AI-generated text.

Examples Of Desirable Expertise

• Experience as a professional writer or editor.
• Currently enrolled in or completed a bachelor's degree or higher in a writing-related discipline at a selective institution.
• Strong writing style, exceptional English spelling and grammar, and good logic and reasoning skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to clearly explain strengths and weaknesses of texts.

Payment

• Rates for core project work range from $15 to $35 USD per hour in the US.
• Estimated rates for other countries: UK (£11-£27 GBP), Canada ($20-$48 CAD), Australia ($22-$53 AUD), New Zealand ($25-$58 NZD).
• Rates vary based on expertise, skills, location, and project needs. Higher rates may be offered to PhDs. Some projects may have incentive payments. Please review payment terms for each project.
