Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) is seeking a Team Leader (ESSO Expressmart) in Quebec to oversee daily retail operations, supervise staff, and ensure superior customer service for CAF members and families.

Responsibilities include cash handling, refunds, store opening/closing, and POS operation. A background in merchandising and food/beverage service is valued, with a focus on safety and efficiency in a military community setting.

Qualifications

• Must have an acceptable mix of education, training and experience.
• Food Handling Certification is required.
• Experience in cash handling and in personnel administration preferred.
• Experience in visual merchandising and food and beverage service is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide retail services to CAF members and assist with customer inquiries.
• Open and close the ESSO Expressmart store; manage keys and safe access.
• Supervise employees and oversee refunds, voids and returns.
• Operate POS systems and manage transactions including debit/credit processing.
• Maintain cleanliness and food service areas; prepare takeout orders when needed.

THE ROLE

As a Team Leader (ESSO Expressmart), you provide retail services to a unique client base - members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and in assisting them, you are helping your community. You deal with customer concerns or complaints to ensure customer satisfaction and authorize refunds, voids, and returns. You hold keys, safe combinations, and access codes, and open and close the store as required. You supervise employees.

The Team Leader (ESSO Expressmart) may also provide a variety of other retail services, including: regular retail services, dry cleaning, lottery services, self-serve gas services, and postal services. You will operate Point of Sales systems, the debit/credit machine, and maintain a float. You may take and prepare food and beverage orders and prepare takeout food, while ensuring cleanliness of food service and eating areas.

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.
