Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) seeks a Clerk Cashier (ESSO Expressmart) to serve CAF members and their families at an on-site ESSO Expressmart location. You will perform a variety of retail tasks, handle transactions, assist with credit applications, and ensure a positive customer experience in a military community.

The role requires cash handling, some food-service duties, and adherence to certification requirements specific to Quebec.

Qualifications

• An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.
• Food Handling Certification, as required.
• Must possess a Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (Quebec), as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide retail services to CAF members and their families; assist with credit plan applications as needed.
• Operate Point of Sales systems and debit/credit machines; maintain a cash float.
• Respond to customer enquiries; ensure shelves are stocked, faced and properly signed.

THE ROLE

As a Clerk Cashier (ESSO Expressmart), you provide retail services to a unique client base - members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), and in assisting them, you are helping your community. You may provide a variety of services, including regular retail services, dry cleaning, lottery services, self-serve gas services, postal services, and assisting CAF members with credit plan applications. You will operate Point of Sales systems, the debit/credit machine and maintain a float.

The Clerk Cashier (ESSO Expressmart) responds to enquiries from customers providing them with information on merchandising and ensuring the store shelves are stocked, faced, and properly signed. You may take and prepare food and beverage orders and prepare takeout food, while ensuring cleanliness of food service and eating areas.

Qualifications Needed

Education, Certifications and Licenses

• An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience
• Food Handling Certification, as required
• Must possess a Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (Quebec), as required

• This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.
