Job description

This leadership role is based with our Shared Services team in Saint John, New Brunswick and works closely with all stakeholders to drive organizational value, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, leading a team of Accounts Payable specialists.

Reporting to, and in collaboration with the Accounts Payable Manager, the top priority and responsibility of this role is to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of Accounts Payable functions through:

Responsibilities

1. Leading Accounts Payable team and oversight of Accounts Payable functions
2. Working with the Shared Services team, and others to ensure accuracy and compliance of invoices and processing payments
3. Liaising with operational and financial personnel at various levels reporting on Accounts Payable activities
4. Reviewing invoice processing and daily key performance indicators
5. Preparing reports on invoices for the Shared Services companies
6. Participation in Shared Services continuous and process improvement projects
7. Support implementation of new Accounts Payable system
8. Addressing inquiries via ERP’s and email
9. Ensuring compliance with internal controls
