Join Our Team as a Team Lead, Electrical Design at Aecon Group Inc.

We are seeking a Team Lead, Electrical Design to join our dynamic engineering team at Aecon, a Canadian leader in infrastructure development. In this role, you will oversee the electrical distribution team, ensuring efficient and safe design activities, providing technical support, and managing project timelines and resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the electrical distribution team.
• Provide troubleshooting expertise for power distribution systems.
• Collaborate with project management to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
• Mentor and develop team members' skills and knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate project documentation.
• Promote a safety-first culture on all projects.
• Review technical design drawings for scope and CAD quality.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with design calculations, construction drawings, and specifications.
• Previous managerial experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of North American electrical codes (CSA, NEC, CEC, IEEE, NERC).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Bentley MicroStation is an asset.
• Experience working with electrical distribution utilities.
• Strong multitasking, communication, and organizational skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.
