Hydro One’s Talent Acquisition team is looking for a Consultant to develop meaningful relationships with the business and candidates to ensure we attract, hire and retain the best talent for our diverse and inclusive organization.

General Accountabilities:
  1. Create a seamless and positive experience for hiring managers and prospective candidates.
  2. Manage recruitment process from start to finish for unionized and non-unionized positions: job postings, sourcing, interviewing, processing references and background checks to the offer stage.
  3. Provide guidance to hiring managers in all areas of internal and external recruitment including: sourcing strategies, policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to provisions of the appropriate Collective Agreements and applicable legislation.
  4. Act as a Hydro One brand ambassador by supporting and championing the company’s recruitment branding strategy to attract top talent.
  5. Develop and manage a pipeline of potential candidates for client groups through proactive market analysis, data insights, and ongoing relationship management.
  6. Participate and lead Talent Acquisition related projects and initiatives as required.
  7. Coordinate and participate in career fairs, information sessions, networking events, on-campus recruitment activities, and other off-site events to promote employment opportunities at Hydro One.
  8. Stay informed of current trends and innovative recruiting techniques to be competitive and creative with sourcing and attracting quality candidates.
Selection Criteria:
  1. 4-6 years of recruitment experience in a fast-paced organization.
  2. Strong work ethic.
  3. Advanced level in Microsoft Office Suite.
  4. Previous experience or interest in HR Analytics and Employer Brand.
  5. Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  6. Ability to multi-task, be flexible and adapt to change.
  7. Working experience with ATS/HRIS (SuccessFactors), SAP, ServiceNow preferred.
  8. Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
  9. Experience in the utility, manufacturing or similar work environment is an asset, specifically with trades and technical hiring.
  10. Experience with a new graduate program including building an on-campus presence.
  11. Results oriented, with the ability to think analytically and question the status quo.
