Job summary

Paladin Security is seeking experienced Security Officers to join our Tactical Mobile team in Fort St. John, BC. You will conduct emergency responses to alarms, report security breaches, and direct unauthorized individuals to leave the premises.

You will drive a Paladin vehicle, perform patrols, and work 12-hour shifts on a 4-day rotation with pay steps: $32.00/hour during training, $34.00/hour through probation, and $37.00/hour after probation.

Qualifications

• 1 year of work experience in security
• AST training completed
• Occupational First Aid Level 2
• BC Class 5 driver's license with clean abstract
• Eligibility to work in Canada

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols and surveillance of client facilities; provide access control as needed
• Respond to alarms, accident calls, and emergencies at client facilities within designated time frames
• Escalate and report issues to the Security Command Centre in a timely manner
• Dispatch and work with first responders (police/fire/ambulance)
• Write detailed incident reports for security incidents that occur during shift
• Build rapport with surrounding businesses to heighten the level of security
• Use discretion when handling confidential information
• Handle all incidents in a professional and calm demeanor
• Other duties as required to meet operational demands

Job description

We are looking for experienced Security Officers to join our Tactical Mobile team! In this role, you will conduct emergency responses to alarms, report security breaches and property damage, and direct unauthorized individuals to leave the premises. You will be driving a Paladin vehicle and conduct foot patrols inside and outside of facilities, up and down stairs, and over uneven surfaces and terrains.

Your pay rate will start at $32.00/hour during training, increasing to $34.00/hour through probation, and increasing again to $37.00/hour after successful completion of the 3-month probation. You will be working 12-hour shifts on a rotational basis.

Requirements

• Candidates must live within For St.John, or Hudson's Hope area
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience in the security industry
• Advanced Security Training (AST)
• Valid Intermediate First Aid Training (Occupational First Aid Level 2)
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and a clean driving abstract
• Availability to work days and nights, 12-hour shifts on a 4-day rotation
• Excellent customer service, professionalism, and communication
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
• Must be able to commit to a minimum of 1 year
