Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited is seeking a Surveillance Operator at its Starlight Casino location in Canada. The role focuses on maintaining continuous surveillance of gaming areas and property, identifying unusual activity, and ensuring integrity of gaming operations.

Ideal candidates will have strong observation, math skills, and the ability to obtain a provincial gaming worker license, pass background checks, and work varying hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Obtain and maintain a provincial gaming worker license.
• Pass a background check.
• Experience in casino surveillance, security, investigations or law enforcement is an asset.
• Experience using surveillance systems or CCTV technology is an asset.
• Post-secondary education is an asset.
• Knowledge of table games is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Use audio and video equipment to maintain continuous surveillance of all gaming areas and property.
• Identify, record, document and report unusual or suspicious activity.
• Identify fraud and take appropriate action required by law and company policy.
• Monitor compliance and protect company assets and gaming integrity.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs, gather and submit information for detailed reporting.
• Assist with investigations.

Key Responsibilities

• Use audio and video equipment to maintain continuous surveillance of all gaming areas and property.

• Practical math skills, such as addition, subtraction, and basic percentages.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a provincial gaming worker license.
• Pass a background check.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in an enclosed and controlled room in close proximity to colleagues.
