Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited is seeking a Surveillance Supervisor to oversee surveillance activities, ensure safety, and supervise staff. You will investigate security violations and take corrective actions within the law, while managing a team and maintaining high security standards.

The role requires leadership, vigilance, and the ability to write clear findings. It offers full-time hours with comprehensive benefits in a dynamic gaming environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of supervisory experience in casino/hospitality preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
  • Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Comfortable speaking before guests or staff.
  • Reliability, diligence, and integrity.
  • Self-motivated and collaborative in a team environment.
  • Meticulous in all duties; able to write findings clearly.
  • Flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Experience using surveillance equipment and software is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Protect company assets by observing activities via surveillance cameras.
  • Review video footage on cases of patron/internal control disputes.
  • Complete daily activity reports and note pertinent facts.
  • Monitor recording equipment and ensure operation.
  • Provide direction and supervision to agents.
  • Recommend personnel for hire, termination, and discipline.
  • Conduct routine training on casino operations and equipment.
  • Assign and manage work to team members.
  • Plan processes and determine effective techniques for the team.
  • Address complaints and concerns from team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Protect company assets by observing the activities of employees and customers via surveillance cameras.
  • Review video footage on cases of patron/internal control disputes.
  • Complete daily activity report and note any pertinent facts.
  • Monitor recording equipment and check equipment operation.
  • Provide work direction and supervision to agents.
  • Recommend personnel for hire, termination, and disciplinary action.
  • Conduct routine training on casino operations and equipment.
  • Assign and apportion work to be done among team members.
  • Plan work processes and determine effective techniques or processes to be used by team members in the course of business.
  • Supervise and manage the work processes or procedures of team members.
  • Understand and adhere to disciplinary policies including but not limited to counselling team members and the use of progressive discipline to modify poor performance.
  • Address and manage complaints, grievances or concerns from team members.
