Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist First Assistant at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey. The role is full-time, dayshift, 6:45 am to 5:15 pm, with occasional weekends and on-call duties.

You will participate in and actively assist the surgeon to ensure exposure, maintain homeostasis, and support safe operative completion. Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least 3 years as a Surgical Tech or 1 year as a Surgical First

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; related education considered.
• Minimum 3 years as Surgical Tech or 1 year as Surgical First Assistant.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon in operations, provide exposure and maintain homeostasis.
• Support intraoperative tasks and equipment readiness.
