Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist First Assistant for the Main OR in St. Josephs Cove. In this role, you will assist surgeons during operations, maintain exposure, and support surgical workflow.

A successful candidate will have at least 3 years of surgical tech experience and BLS certification. The position offers a competitive benefits package, including paid time off and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

Overview

As defined by the American College of Surgeons, Surgical Assistants (SAs) are trained individuals who are able to participate in, and actively assist the surgeon in, completing the operation safely and expeditiously by helping to provide exposure, maintain homeostasis, and other technical functions.

Location & Status

Location: St Josephs Main and Children’s; Status: Pool; Shift Hours: VARIES; Weekend Work: Occasional; On Call: Yes.
