Description

PeaceHealth is seeking a Surgery Scheduler Lead - Cardiology for a full-time, 1.0 FTE, day position.

The salary range for this position is $26.23 – $35.41, dependent on factors such as education, experience, and applicable agreements.

Location Spotlight: Bellingham, WA

Position Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily functions within the assigned area, ensuring departmental goals, timelines, and service excellence.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in scheduling patients for procedures, managing communication with physician offices, and ensuring schedule accuracy and timeliness.
• Assign work, manage priorities, oversee staff schedules, mentor staff, and ensure quality and compliance.
• Complete scheduling processes, including coordinating with surgery departments and physician offices, and documenting schedule details.
• Arrange surgical cases for optimal efficiency and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Medical Terminology coursework required
• At least 1 year of experience as a Surgery Scheduler
• At least 2 years of related healthcare experience
• Leadership experience and Epic system familiarity are preferred

Skills:

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Strong customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
