Job description

This role leads the Nextern Supply Chain in Vietnam, a talented group of professionals who work with and manage suppliers to assure Nextern development, costing, schedules and production priorities are maintained in order to deliver quality products that exceed customer expectations. The team maintains continuous communication with the supplier and corporate office to assure that the supply base supports the best interests of Nextern.

1. Manages, coordinates and directs supply chain management activities through day-to-day tactical and long-term strategic activities for assigned categories and suppliers; including the establishment of strategic goals, plans, outlooks, objectives and metrics.
2. Work directly with Contract Manufacturing and Suppliers to ensure supply targets are maintained
3. Develops industry/market trend analysis, competitive situations, commodity price trends, and supply/demand situations for assigned spend categories.
4. Develop and grow key Supplier relationships and help resolve any issues on a global level
5. Lead and mentor sourcing, procurement, planning, warehouse and logistics team members to ensure that supply is scheduled to effectively meet demand and assist in inventory management.
6. Negotiate and facilitate approval for new supplier contracts and agreements under the direction of the Operation Head.
7. Set and meet TQRACC (Technology, Quality, Responsiveness, Availability, Cost and Compliance) objectives for the suppliers / programs within the scope of the role.
8. Measure and manage supplier performance to ensure productivity, timely deliveries, high service levels and adherence to quality specifications and all other business requirements.
9. Participate in new product development and deliver across all elements of supply chain readiness.
10. Assist the quality engineers to assure product quality requirements are implemented and maintained.
11. Understand and assist the production engineers to ensure that tooling, product and production time frames are met.
12. Build SOP of supply chain management and Carry out other duties from General Manager.

1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business disciplines

2. 5+ years experience in sourcing, procurement, and/or planning roles

3. Ability to work independently

4. Experience with multiple product lines in a multi-site manufacturing environment

5. 3-5 years of supervisory experience.

6. Strong leadership and excellent supervisory skills

7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
