Job summary

Capital Power invites applications for a Temporary Full-Time Supply Chain Student Intern in Edmonton, AB. The role offers hands-on experience across purchasing, inventory management, contract administration, supplier engagement, and process improvement within our Supply Chain Management team.

You will gain exposure to end-to-end procurement activities, data analysis with Excel and Power BI, and collaboration with cross-functional teams across multiple business units.

Qualifications

• Degree-like education in supply chain or related field is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities required.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support purchasing and supplier communications, requests for quotes, and documentation.
• Assist with purchase requisition and purchase order administration in ERP systems.
• Help maintain inventory records and contribute to analysis and reporting.
• Support contract administration and records management.
• Prepare and analyze spend, supplier, and procurement data using Excel and Power BI.
• Assist with process improvement initiatives and workflow documentation.
• Participate in supplier research and market analysis activities.
• Collaborate on Supply Chain projects with internal stakeholders.
