Your role at Baxter

Working in our Warehouse in Mississauga, the Warehouse Supervisor will oversee and coordinate activities related to warehousing, transportation, and inventory control. The role involves coordinating these activities to ensure efficient utilization of warehouse and transportation resources and optimizing the flow of goods for distribution. Since we handle medical equipment, the environment requires meticulous attention to detail and strict compliance with processes and handling requirements. The Supervisor will lead and motivate warehouse staff by setting clear objectives, defining responsibilities, and leading by example.

The Warehouse Supervisor must adhere to Environmental Health & Safety standards, follow all SOPs, and collaborate closely with the Warehouse Manager and Quality Managers to implement changes and achieve both local and corporate goals.

What you will be doing:

  • Oversee and coordinate warehouse receiving and shipping operations.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of warehousing activities and staff performance.
  • Maintain proper inventory control procedures and documentation.
  • Ensure the safe operation of equipment used for moving and transporting materials.
  • Organize staff schedules, ensure fulfillment goals are met, and shipments are timely, accurate, and undamaged.
  • Adhere to environmental, health, safety SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with plant management on operational issues affecting warehouse activities.
  • Engage in employee feedback and development processes.
  • Work with other departments to improve warehouse operations.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize processes.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure stock accuracy.
  • Motivate staff to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Coach and develop warehouse employees to meet business objectives.
  • Foster a team-oriented environment aligned with company targets.
  • Maintain warehouse security and uphold 6S housekeeping standards.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure all movements are accurately recorded in the warehouse management system.
