Position Overview

The Warehouse Supervisor supports the operations leadership team at our Mississauga Inbound distribution center, ensuring efficient management of daily warehouse functions such as put-away, picking, processing, and shipping of finished goods. This detail-oriented, execution-focused leader will oversee a team of unionized employees, drive performance improvements, and maintain accuracy in inventory and order fulfillment.

Collaborating with the operations leadership team, you'll meet targets, improve productivity, and ensure compliance with company policies and the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), directly impacting both inbound and outbound operations to exceed customer expectations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of warehouse employees in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Create and implement daily shift plans that align with company goals, operational targets, and customer expectations.
  • Monitor workflows to meet deadlines, optimize space utilization, and improve material handling efficiency.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational cost control, order fulfillment, accuracy, and shipping timelines.
  • Provide actionable insights and data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strict inventory control, conduct regular spot-checks, and ensure real-time stock level tracking.
  • Lead efforts to prevent stock discrepancies and resolve any issues related to inventory accuracy.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, implement best practices, and streamline inbound and outbound operations to reduce errors and increase throughput.
  • Enforce safety protocols, ensure compliance with policies, and manage labor relations in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
Ideal Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a unionized warehouse or distribution environment, with a proven track record of driving performance improvements and meeting operational goals.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team in a fast-paced setting.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to assess performance data, identify trends, and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, barcoding systems, and electronic data interchange (EDI) systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for reporting and data analysis.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Onsite work, 5 days per week, in a warehouse environment
  • Occasional standing, walking, and use of a computer required
  • Safety gear and equipment as required by warehouse protocols
