Position: Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Baxter Warehouse, Mississauga

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees and coordinates activities related to warehousing, transportation, and inventory control. Responsibilities include ensuring efficient resource utilization, maintaining compliance with process and handling requirements for medical equipment, supervising staff, and motivating the team to succeed by setting clear objectives and responsibilities.

The role requires adherence to Environmental Health & Safety standards, SOPs, and close collaboration with the Warehouse Manager and Quality Managers to implement changes and achieve goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee warehouse receiving and shipping operations.
  2. Measure and report on warehousing effectiveness and employee performance.
  3. Maintain inventory control procedures and documentation.
  4. Ensure safe operation of equipment used for moving and transporting materials.
  5. Organize staff schedules and ensure timely, accurate shipments.
  6. Comply with environmental, health, safety SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
  7. Coordinate with plant management on operational issues.
  8. Promote employee feedback and development.
  9. Streamline warehouse operations through collaboration.
  10. Seek continuous improvements to efficiency and cost reduction.
  11. Conduct inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  12. Motivate staff and ensure task completion.
  13. Enforce compliance and maintain a safe working environment.
  14. Coach and develop warehouse employees.
  15. Build a team-oriented atmosphere aligned with company targets.
  16. Maintain warehouse security and 6S housekeeping standards.
  17. Ensure stock accuracy and proper recording of stock movements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least three years of related experience with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs routinely.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Capability to operate a forklift.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated coaching ability.
