Job description

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Supervisor, Facilities Management on a permanent basis on our Supply Chain team. This position requires on-site work and is based in Saskatoon, SK.

We are looking for someone who can lead a team through day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Home Office facilities in an safe and secure manner, who can adapt and learn, and has strong communication skills. If this interests you, please apply!

What you’ll do:

  • Supervise the Building Operations team by ensuring standard operating procedures are in place and are consistently followed, and that Building Operators maintain a safe and effective operation of HVAC, chiller, boilers, backup generators and similar building components.
  • Prepare and review service requests and preventative maintenance tasks utilizing Asset Planner tool and ensure mandated inspection schedules are compliant at Home Office while ensuring required documentation is completed and filed as per standard practice.
  • Ensure daily operations meet regulatory compliance, insurance, WHMIS, life & safety requirements and participate as the management OH&S representative, and other committees as required.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and communicate with contract services and outside vendors on service requirements.
  • Complete annual inspections of major building systems and repot on the operation status and issues on a weekly basis and immediately for aberrant situations.
  • Up to 10% travel is needed and availability to be on call.

You will work closely with the Building Operations team and with FCL stakeholders and 3rd party tenants. You will lead a team and report into the Manager, Facilities Management on a team that strives to cultivate a culture of engagement, collaboration, and support.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Building Operations and:

  • Have a 4th Class Power Engineer License.
  • Have 8+ years of relevant progressively responsible experience in building operations or facilities management and 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Have WHMIS, First Aid and AED training.
  • Have experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) would be considered an asset.
  • Have a Building Systems Technician Certificate would be considered an asset.
  • Are familiar with regulations related to life and safety, fire, and protection systems.
