Job summary

Jardeg is seeking a Superintendent - Water/Wastewater in Ontario to support upcoming projects through an evergreen EOI pipeline. You will lead site teams, coordinate trades, and ensure safety, schedule, and budget goals across $1M–$15M projects.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in construction, with 2–4 in supervision, and a background in CM or engineering. This role offers stability through Jardeg's network and opportunities across the Water & Wastewater division.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of construction experience, including 2–4 years in a supervisory role, with proven success delivering projects valued between $1M–$15M.
  • Education: Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Skills: ability to plan and sequence work, manage costs and schedules, and use standard construction software and management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead site planning and execution to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Direct field operations, staffing, subcontractor coordination, safety.
  • Oversee construction activities, sequencing, materials, equipment needs.
  • Coordinate teams and trades to align with drawings and schedules.
  • Assist Project Manager with budgets, meetings, claims, warranties.

Jardeg is building bench strength through this Expression of Interest (EOI) evergreen requisition to support upcoming Water and Wastewater projects across Ontario. This opportunity is designed to proactively connect with experienced Superintendents who are passionate about delivering complex infrastructure projects that strengthen communities.

By joining our talent pipeline, you'll be considered for future opportunities within our Water and Wastewater Division.

Superintendents play a critical role in planning, organizing, and directing construction projects through all stages of the project lifecycle. From foundations and structures through to commissioning and completion, you'll lead site teams to safely deliver projects on schedule and within budget while mentoring and developing field personnel to ensure teams are set up for success.

Your Role in Building What Matters – From Office to Site
  • Lead Site Planning & Execution: Support preconstruction and oversee site logistics, scheduling, phasing, and constructability to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Manage Field Operations: Direct site staffing, subcontractor coordination, quality control, safety compliance, and field cost control.
  • Oversee Construction Activities: Determine construction methods, sequencing, material quantities, equipment needs and monitor field productivity.
  • Coordinate Teams & Trades: Coordinate work across trades, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment with drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Support Project Performance: Assist the Project Manager with production budgets, project meetings, claims resolution, and warranty items.
The Right Tools for the Job
  • Education: Post‑secondary education in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience: 5–10 years of construction experience, including 2–4 years in a supervisory role, with proven success delivering projects valued between $1M–$15M.
  • Skills: Ability to plan and sequence work, manage costs and schedules, and use standard construction software and management tools.
Compensation
  • Salary Range $127,000 to $142,000 per annum
  • Compensation aligned to education and experience, ensuring fair and competitive placement
  • Three to five weeks of vacation, with additional credit for prior industry experience
