Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Summer Research Assistant for the School of Arts & Sciences – Physics & Astronomy department.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Conducts an original research project in particle physics.
• Participates in, and shares work in, weekly meetings of the research group.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Must be a current high school student, enrolled for the 2025 – 2026 school year.
• Must have completed a high school introductory physics course.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Participation in the ACT-SO program or eligibility to participate in the 2026 ACT-SO competition.
