Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Visiting Researcher within the Radiation Oncology/Cancer Biology Division of the Rutgers Cancer Institute.
In this role, the Visiting Researcher will work under the direction of the principal investigator. The Visiting Researcher will work in the area of molecular cancer biology and signaling transduction. The current focus of the lab is the function of p53 in cellular metabolism, the functional study of several novel p53 target genes, and their contribution to tumor suppression. Through these functional and mechanistic studies, we aim to further understand the functions of p53 and, in turn, identify new molecules in the p53 pathway for potential therapeutic intervention.

The final salary offer will be determined by several factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals , if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
