SUBSTATION ELECTRICIAN ‘A’

Greater Sudbury Utilities Inc. (GSU) is a diversified, community-owned corporation focused on excellence, innovation, and growth. Under the direction of the Technical Services Supervisor, the successful candidate must be experienced in all types of work related to the construction, operation, and maintenance of municipal substation equipment, SCADA systems and underground distribution systems of all classes and voltages.

The successful applicant will have the following:

• Must have successfully completed the Substation Electrician Certificate
• Graduation at the community college level in electrical or instrumentation
• 309 A Electrician - Construction and Maintenance License
• Knowledge of E&USA Safety Rules, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Utility Work Protection Code and all other applicable legislation
• Working knowledge of a Utility's distribution system would be an asset
• Valid class G driver’s license as job duties require frequent field work.
