Facility Solutions Group, one of the nation's largest providers of lighting and electrical products, electrical services, electrical construction, and energy management solutions, is expanding its staff and seeking a Journeyman Electrician for Sacramento, San Jose, or Southern California.

Job Description

The Journeyman Electrician performs terminal and electrical service, equipment, and system repair, maintenance, testing, and installation tasks for various customers and facilities. The successful candidate will have a consistent employment history, a high level of professionalism, and maintain Facility Solutions Group's reputation for quality service and safety.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment.
• Prepare sketches showing wiring and equipment locations, or follow diagrams or blueprints, ensuring concealed wiring is installed before walls, ceilings, and flooring are completed.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on job specifications.
• Design new or modified installations to minimize waste, facilitate future maintenance, and ensure safety and aesthetic standards, complying with safety codes and local electrical codes.
• Test electrical systems or circuit continuity using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, performing physically demanding tasks and using appropriate tools.
• Understand and conform to government/local regulations, ordinances, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Current California Certified Electrician License
• Experience in Service preferred
• Ability to pass drug and background screening
• Valid and current driver's license
• Ability to multitask and stay organized
• Strong communication skills
• Positive customer service skills
• Lighting experience is a plus
